November 30, 2018 was a sad day for my family. It was the day my Aunt Barb passed away. She was 80 years old, she had been suffering with congestive heart failure for quite a long time. I am thankful that I will see her again someday because she told me she knew Jesus, and he was Lord of her life. She was a kind woman, feisty and stronger than anyone actually gave her credit for, and I will miss her. As the days passed leading up to her funeral, I stared to reflect over the past few years, and I got angry!
For you see, John 10:10 says:
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that more abundantly.
Jesus willingly laid his life down, so we could have an abundant life! Well, I tell you right now, that I am done letting the devil run amuck!
For quite a few years now, at the end of the year, my daughter and I would say, boy, this year has been hard, I sure hope this next year will be better. Then the next year would come to an end, just to say, well this year has been just as bad, if not worse than the year before, I sure hope next year will be better! Well, I’m not having it anymore!
Devil, you stay away from my family, in Jesus name! I speak against addiction, death, curses, cancer, illness, financial hardship, I pray protection over my family and our finances, in the name of Jesus! Hosea 4:6 says our people perish for lack of knowledge, I pray that our eyes and ears are open to hear God’s word, for the word of God is life and health to us!
Deuteronomy 30:19 says :
I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing, therefore choose life, so that you and your descendants may live. It goes on in verse 20 to say; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days.
Thank you Jesus for willingly laying your life down, so that we can have life, and that more abundantly! And I am claiming that verse for my family for 2019 and from here on out! I thank the Lord for angels to watch over us and protect us! I am thankful that I am righteous and that I am the daughter of the most High God, and the same Spirit that rose Jesus from the dead lives in me! No weapon formed against me shall stand!
