Psalm 91 Verse 11

Psalm 91:11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.

He has given His angels charge over me, to keep me in all my ways. That means He has assigned angels to me, to make sure that I don’t get hurt in any way.

Is it worth it to give your life to God and make Him Your dwelling place? I say a big YES!

Let’s look more into angels. Heb 1:14 asks the question, “Are they [angels] not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?” There is a myriad [too many to number] of angels, this scripture says, “are not all” sent forth for us.

In Second Chronicles, Hezekiah strengthen the people saying, “Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid nor dismayed before the king of Assyria, nor before all the multitude that is with him; for there are more with us than with him. With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the LORD our God, to help us and to fight our battles.

When a great army of horses and chariots came against Israel, the prophet Elisha’s assistant ran to him saying, “What shall we do?” Elisha answered him, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Then Elisha prayed and said, “O LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” And the LORD opened the servant’s eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

Sometimes the circumstances seem overwhelming, but never forget, we are not alone. I want you to see there are more with us than there are with them. There are as many with us as there needs to be to accomplish the mission. Psalm 103:20 says, “Bless the LORD, you His angels, Who excel in strength, who do His word, Heeding the voice of His word.” When we speak the Word of God, we bring His voice into the earth, into our situation. Listen for the voice of God within you, He will give you the words to speak.

One of my first encounters with angels came shortly after I made Jesus the Lord of my life. This was way back before ATM cards and cell phones. We had just moved to a new house and we needed groceries and supplies. My husband told me there would be enough gas in the car to get to the store and then I could get some cash back to fill up the tank on my way back.

As I drove to the store, I prayed, Lord, I am trusting in You to get me to the store and back and I believe You will put gas in the car supernaturally if I need it. I made it to the store okay, bought what I needed, but when I asked if I could get cash back with my check, I was told, “No, your account is too new.” I loaded my groceries into the car, strapped in my two little boys who wanted to come along, and tried to start the car. The car sputtered a bit, but would not start. I was out of gas.

Before I could open the car door, there were two men standing at the car window asking if I needed help. I told them I was out of gas and they quickly replied, wait right here, we will be back. In less than fifteen minutes, they were back with five gallons of gas. I asked them if they had a business card so I could send them money. They replied, “No, this is what we do,” and they were gone.

Praise the Lord! The Lord and His angels have rescued me many times since then, more than I am even aware of. Every morning we can thank the Lord that His angels are working on our behalf. Thank you Jesus for your lovingkindness.

If you have had an encounter with angels, please share it in the comments 🙂

I had to have surgery. As I was coming to in the recovery room, a young male nurse was standing over me. I looked up into the kindest eyes. In a gentle voice, he told me I would be fine. I drifted off feeling peace and as I came to again, I asked the nurse that came to me where was the young man that had been there. She told me there had been no men in the recovery room.

I don’t know of any time I have actually seen angels, but I am sure they were involved. I have had several occasions while driving where God was clearly keeping me safe. I had just bought my young daughter a pair of shoes and she wanted to wear them. We were home and going out again. She insisted on lacing up the shoes before she would get in the car. I kept telling her to just get in and finish on the way but she was determined to finish. As we were driving, a car crossed the street in front of us without even stopping or looking. They were going the wrong way up a one-way street and therefore didn’t have a stop sign. That delay kept us out of harms way.

Another time I was at a 4 way stop and it was my turn to go, but for some reason I just sat there for a few seconds. I noticed the driver across the street annoyed with me for not going and thought “Oh, I am suppose to be going!” Still I looked to my left before going and I saw a car coming way too fast to stop. They blew right through the stop sign. Either I would have been hit or the driver across the street who was waiting for me to go.

I also have had a couple of times where I have heard screeching brakes behind me when I was stopped to make a turn and they were able to stop just in time before hitting me. I thank God for His protection!
