Your Sins are Forgiven

Col 2:13 And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He (Jesus) has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses,

Remember the paralytic whose friends let him down through the roof of the place where Jesus was preaching? Jesus saw the faith of his friends and said,  “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.” Of course this caused a quite a ruckus with the religious scribes, but for the man who had been paralyzed, it was life changing. He got up and walked.

Don’t let the enemy paralyze you by reminding you of your sins when God says He remembers them no more. We were once dead in our sins but He has made us alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our trespasses. Hallelujah!

Knowing all your sins are forgiven sets us free to arise and walk in the fullness of the blessing.

When Jesus spoke something this specific to people I believe that they received healing from a broken heart also. I don’t have a verse to back it up but Jesus did say He came to heal the brokenhearted, yet it never tells us that Jesus said to any person, “Heart be healed.” Can you imagine the joy and relief the man must have felt when he heard Jesus say, “Your sins are forgiven.” Even when Jesus told someone to “go and sin no more,” I believed they received forgiveness and the power to go and sin no more through Jesus’ words. Do not let the enemy steal what God has so freely given us in His love and mercy through Christ Jesus. Yes, we are forgiven! No guilt or shame any longer! The past no longer has a hold over us.
